Software repair: phone will not start or freezes
A boot loop, a failed update or a device that only shows the logo is often a software problem. We check it in store.

A software repair at GoImpulse starts from €19. We give the exact price after the diagnosis and before work begins, and you pay only after you agree. We tell you the duration after the diagnosis. Back up your data if you can, as we do not promise that data will be kept.
How to recognise it
The device is stuck restarting (boot loop). It shows only the logo and never starts. An update stops or stalls. It freezes, is very slow or apps keep crashing. The screen stays black although the device seems to be running.
What we do
- Diagnosis: we check whether software or hardware is really at fault.
- Price up front: you hear the price before we start.
- Restore: we try to reinstall the system.
- Test: we check that the device starts reliably.
- Payment: only after you agree.
Good to know
What a boot loop is

In a boot loop the device keeps restarting without reaching the system. Typical triggers are an interrupted or faulty update, full storage, corrupted system files, a failed restore, or a hardware fault such as water damage. So we first check whether software is really the cause.
Ways out of the loop
On an iPhone a forced restart comes first and deletes nothing. If that fails, recovery mode on a computer can reinstall the system; the update option tries to repair it without data loss. On Android, recovery mode offers options such as clearing the cache, depending on the device. A factory reset is the last resort and erases everything.
Why a backup matters
Whether data survives a repair depends on the case. We cannot promise it. If the device still runs, use an iCloud backup, a computer backup or your Google account. That is the only reliable safeguard.
Frequently asked questions

We tell you after the diagnosis.
We cannot promise that. Sometimes the repair works without data loss, sometimes not. A backup is the safe answer.
A forced restart is usually harmless. Only do a factory reset if your data is backed up.
Statutory warranty rights apply, of course.
