For other repairs such as speaker, microphone, buttons, vibration motor, SIM reader, Face ID, fingerprint sensor or earpiece, we give the price on request. We diagnose your device in store and tell you the price before we start. We give the duration after the diagnosis. You pay only after you agree.

How to recognise it

  • Sound is quiet, crackly or missing (speaker, earpiece).
  • Callers hear you badly (microphone).
  • A button sticks, does not respond or is missing.
  • The phone no longer vibrates.
  • The SIM card is not detected.
  • Face ID or the fingerprint sensor no longer works.

What we do

  1. Conversation: you describe the problem.
  2. Diagnosis: we check the device in store.
  3. Price up front: we give the price before we start.
  4. Repair: we replace or repair the affected part.
  5. Test and payment: we test; you pay only after you agree.

Good to know

Small parts, big effect

Speakers, microphones and earpieces sit behind tiny openings. Often the cause is not the part but dirt or moisture in front of it, so we check first whether cleaning is enough. Software settings, a connected Bluetooth device or a case can also affect sound.

Buttons, vibration and SIM reader

Mechanical buttons wear or get dirty. The vibration motor (the “Taptic Engine” on some iPhones) can fail after a drop or water. On the SIM reader, a bent tray or a film on the contacts is common. Try another SIM card beforehand to tell card from reader.

Face ID and fingerprint

These sensors are paired to the device. For Face ID, Apple ties the function to specific parts; whether a repair is possible depends on the model and the fault. We establish that in the diagnosis and tell you honestly before you pay.
